Ontario North Outposts flys guests from Wabigoon Lake to remote outpost lakes north of Dryden and close to Lac Seul. The Black Bear population in our large Bear Management Area (BMA) is excellent, and has never been over hunted. Our area offers exclusive hunting for our guests. It encompasses 98 square kilometers, which includes many lakes and river systems. This BMA provides our hunters with unlimited baited hunting sites and bear hunting opportunities. Misaw Lake Lodge Misaw is an exclusive fly-in American Plan lodge located in the top northern corner of Saskatchewan but their guests have the luxury of flying into the lodge directly from Winnipeg International Airport or Saskatoon. They are located in an area where bear hunting is basically non-existent with exception of their own operation. As a result, the biggest Black Bears in Canada are harvested at their lodge with Black Bears over 350 pound being fairly common. Hunters are set up in stands on well used game trails and have the luxury to pass on many smaller bears and wait for the big old males.
